20 Oct IRI Awards Night 2014
The recent Irish Refrigeration Institute Awards night proved yet again that, of all the building services-related representative bodies, IRI is unique. It somehow manages to combine the serious matter of peer-vetted industry awards with a wonderfully-relaxed social occasion.
As always, a capacity attendance convened in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin for an evening of presentations, food, fun, entertainment and dancing into the early hours.
There were 6 awards up for presentation. Tech RAC are delighted to have picked up 2 of the 6 awards on the night.
The IRI Training Award is for companies who have excelled in the provision of training for their staff and customers. This category had a prime focus on training provided to both staff and customers. The award was open to all manufacturers, distributors and installers within the RAC and HVAC industry. The award was based on relative quantity and quality of training provided. Special mention goes to Mark Molloy and Hugh Weldon for co-ordinating all training requirements, targets and strategy within the company.
The IRI Young Engineer Award is for young engineers / apprentices who have excelled in their respective fields of the RAC and HVAC Industry. This category is for individuals working in the RAC and/or HV industry in Ireland and is open to RAC and HVAC apprentices or recently qualified (within 3 years) technicians. The awards panel criteria was focussed on the individual who exhibits the best skills and practices in their work. The winner was Keith McGreevy who began his apprenticeship with Tech RAC in January 2010 and qualified with distinction towards the end of last year. A big congrats to Keith on this award and the recognition of his contribution !
